Breathing properties are key to the performance and comfort of a fabric. The crucial question is how well a material transfers moisture away from your skin and out into the air. Jeff Green experts use laboratory tests to achieve optimum breathability. The fabric being tested is stretched across a container of boiling water for exactly 24 hours. After the time is up, the amount of remaining water is measured. The missing amount has diffused through the fabric. The less water remaining after cooling, the better the breathing properties of the fabric.
